Jasper Adams and the Hunt for the Golden Maple Syrup

Jasper Adams and the Hunt for Golden Maple Syrup is a vertical platformer adventure where every step upward is a challenge. Players must figure out the correct path while climbing through three distinct areas: the forests of Jasper National Park, the Rocky Mountains, and a treacherous ice cave; each filled with obstacles, traps, and plenty of ways to fall.

At the summit, the legendary Golden Maple Syrup awaits… but it’s not unguarded. In the final level, you’ll come face-to-face with a mythical Wendigo. Not surviving is guaranteed.

This game was developed by 2 undergraduate students in approximately two months while balancing other classes, and it was our first time working with Unity. It started as a simple platformer but evolved into something much more chaotic as we tried experimenting with “surprising” obstacles for a class research topic, but eventually ended up with a rage game.
